Ter-Mer Rodriguez Association (TMR) is a Fast-Growing NGO founded in September 2012 on the premises of sustainability, social inclusion and urgent needs for economic opportunities for the local communities. The NGO The local NGO positions itself as a strong and leading civil society member in Rodrigues Island within the Republic of Mauritius. that participate and concretely contribute in the sustainable development of Rodrigues Island. The name Ter-Mer is derived from our founding members choices to ensure a balance between marine and coastal activities thus a Ridge-to-Reef and Reef-to-Ridge concept. We strongly believe that Rodrigues Island as a territory of a Small Island Developing State can become a Sustainable Development Laboratory where we are able to conciliate nature and people.

TMR is an innovative and social platform that provides an appropriate legal and administrative framework to empower and valorize the talents and skills of all its members and the community members at the service of a sustainable Rodrigues Island. The strategic development of TMR is founded on a blend of scientific and traditional knowledge, the commitment and engagement of our multidisciplinary members. Our fields of interventions offer a good mixed between operational and campaigning initiatives that positively impact through small scale change and actions in addition to large-scale change that positively influence the policy decision in Rodrigues Island.
